Usain Bolt’s Fastest 100m Time
Usain Bolt ran the 100 meters in 9.58 seconds at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin. This remains the official world record for the event.
Top Speed and Acceleration
During the 100m final, Bolt reached a top speed of about 44.72 km/h (27.8 mph) between the 60- and 80-meter marks. He covered the first 10 meters in roughly 1.85 seconds.
Other Fast Performances
Bolt also ran 19.19 seconds in the 200m and 36.84 seconds in the 4x100m relay, both world records at the time. His splits and reaction times are widely analyzed by sports scientists.
