Current Green Day Members
As of 2025, Green Day consists of Billie Joe Armstrong (lead vocals, guitar), Mike Dirnt (bass, backing vocals), and Tré Cool (drums, percussion). This trio has remained the core lineup since 1990, when Tré Cool replaced original drummer John Kiffmeyer.
Roles and Contributions
Billie Joe Armstrong writes most of the band's songs and serves as the primary vocalist and guitarist. Mike Dirnt provides bass lines and backing vocals, while Tré Cool drives the band's rhythm section. Together, they continue to tour and record new material.
